Job summary

Koch Engineered Solutions (OPD) seeks a maintenance assistant at the Katy location to keep shop, office, and warehouse in working order. You will assist with interior finishing, basic plumbing, HVAC, and various repairs as part of a growing facilities team.

You will support safety initiatives, manage requests and calls, and help with procurement and inventory tasks, using MS Office tools daily. The role requires OT up to 50 hours/week and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated knowledge of general building maintenance.
• Willing and able to work overtime up to 50 hours per week including Saturdays.
• Willing and able to work outside in extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance using hand tools and small power tools.
• Maintain indoor lighting and service general household maintenance.
• Maintain grounds appearance and operate mower, weed eater, and pressure washer.
• Complete seasonal outdoor projects like gutter cleaning and window washing.
• Repair fixtures and office equipment such as doors, windows, appliances, chairs.
• Perform light plumbing maintenance on commercial toilets and sinks.
• Paint interior walls and trim as needed.
• Distribute and stock housekeeping supplies across the property.
• Work on various projects indoors and outdoors.
• Track preventative maintenance items electronically.
• Prioritize requests and calls.
• Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs).
• Inventory control and tracking.
• Use Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Support maintenance administrative tasks, data entry, and reporting.
