  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, and testing of mechanical, electrical, and fire & life safety systems using various tools and instruments.
  • Respond promptly to fire alarm systems; disconnect electrical, water, or gas systems to safeguard occupants and property; assist hospital staff with patient, personnel, or equipment evacuation as needed.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and testing of equipment.
  • Inspect buildings and systems regularly; repair and maintain electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, and communication systems as necessary.
  • Perform non-destructive testing; document deficiencies and test results using computer and handwritten logs.
  • Communicate effectively with owners or their representatives about work performed and system status.
  • Interpret engineering drawings related to system layout and operation.
  • Respond to customer needs promptly.
  • This position reports directly to the Lead Technician and involves keeping them informed about project productivity, profitability, and any personnel, legal, or financial issues.
  • Identify and resolve problems efficiently; analyze information; develop solutions; collaborate in team problem-solving.
  • Adhere to all safety and code requirements.
  • Perform patient room maintenance, including door adjustments, ceiling, and floor tile replacements.
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical, mathematical, and grammatical skills; accuracy is essential.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail daily.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred: Technical or professional training, degree, or trade certification.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, estimate jobs, and use hand tools and related equipment.
  • Minimum 1-5 years experience in building maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to pass criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check.
  • Must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and have access to a well-maintained vehicle with up-to-date registration.
  • Upon hiring, provide medical records for TB testing, vaccinations, and flu vaccination or valid declination.
