Job summary

The Wendy's Delight Restaurant Group is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to perform specialized maintenance and repairs across building systems and equipment, ensuring safe and reliable facility operation.

You will work on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and critical equipment like chillers, boilers, pumps, and generators, diagnosing issues, guiding PM programs, and documenting activities while adhering to safety protocols. On-call may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or trade experience preferred (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical).
• 2+ years of experience in technical maintenance or facilities management.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain and repair chillers, boilers, pumps, generators, and kitchen/industrial equipment.
• Identify root causes of system failures and perform repairs to restore functionality.
• Support PM programs and guide Technicians when tasks require more expertise.
• Follow company and regulatory safety protocols; document maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Respond to urgent facility issues requiring technical expertise.
• Assist with special projects or other technical tasks as assigned.

The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing specialized, technical maintenance and repairs across building systems and equipment. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facility infrastructure, handling complex tasks that require skill, training, and troubleshooting expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Systems Maintenance: Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Specialized Equipment Repair: Maintain and repair critical facility equipment, including chillers, boilers, pumps, generators, and kitchen or industrial appliances.
• System Diagnostics: Identify root causes of system failures and perform repairs to restore functionality efficiently.
• Support PM Programs: Assist and guide PM Technicians when tasks require more technical expertise or complex intervention.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow company and regulatory safety protocols; ensure equipment and tools are maintained properly.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Emergency Response: Respond to urgent facility issues requiring technical expertise.
• Other Duties: Assist with special projects or other technical tasks as assigned.
