Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine facility inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks as assigned. This role supports a safe, functional, and well‑maintained environment for staff, clients, and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Report to scheduled shifts consistently and on time.
  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct facility inspections and perform routine maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Assist with the general operation of facility maintenance functions.
  • Use hand and power tools to complete maintenance work safely and efficiently.
  • Support building safety by assisting during emergency evacuations, disasters, and recovery or restoration efforts.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful environment with clients, families, guardians, coworkers, supervisors, and community members.
  • Demonstrate fairness, consistency, attentiveness, and professionalism, serving as a positive role model in the workplace.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding client and organizational information.
  • Promote clear, open, and effective communication across teams.
  • Advocate for the rights and well‑being of clients.
  • Attend required meetings, training sessions, and in‑service programs to maintain and improve job knowledge and skills.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
