Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine facility inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks as assigned. This role supports a safe, functional, and well‑maintained environment for staff, clients, and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Report to scheduled shifts consistently and on time.
- Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Conduct facility inspections and perform routine maintenance and repair tasks.
- Assist with the general operation of facility maintenance functions.
- Use hand and power tools to complete maintenance work safely and efficiently.
- Support building safety by assisting during emergency evacuations, disasters, and recovery or restoration efforts.
- Maintain a professional and respectful environment with clients, families, guardians, coworkers, supervisors, and community members.
- Demonstrate fairness, consistency, attentiveness, and professionalism, serving as a positive role model in the workplace.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding client and organizational information.
- Promote clear, open, and effective communication across teams.

- Attend required meetings, training sessions, and in‑service programs to maintain and improve job knowledge and skills.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in facility maintenance or related field preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements
- Knowledge of modern methods used in routine building and facility maintenance.
- Experience using common hand and power tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to maintain positive interactions with clients, families, coworkers, supervisors, and community members.
