Job summary

Casa of Hobart in Indiana is seeking a hands-on maintenance professional to help keep our building safe, clean, and comfortable for residents. You will learn from experienced staff and contribute to a dependable, full-time schedule that supports residents and the community.

You will assist with preventive maintenance, inspect equipment and building systems, move furniture, and coordinate with other departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Available for full-time days, a weekend on-call rotation, and rotating holidays.
• Alert, detail-oriented, and able to make sound decisions on your own.
• Able to work well with residents, families, staff, and vendors.
• Maintenance or trade experience welcome, but we'll train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements
• Inspect equipment and building systems for safe, proper function
• Handle incoming and outgoing freight and run errands as needed
• Move furniture and equipment around the building
• Assist with resident evacuation during emergencies
• Work alongside other departments to keep the building running
