Job summary

Dover Behavioral in Dover, Delaware, is seeking a dedicated maintenance technician to ensure optimal functionality of the hospital facilities. The candidate will undertake HVAC repairs, deliver general maintenance, and provide exceptional service to patients and staff.

Applicants should possess a high school diploma, general maintenance skills, and experience in sheet rock finishing. The position requires flexibility to work on-call hours in a 24/7 environment. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General maintenance and repair required, experience in a hospital setting is a plus.
• Sheet rock finishing and painting experience required.
• Industry certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work rotating on-call hours and holidays in a 24/7 hospital environment.
• Strong organization and multitasking skills required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain the HVAC system and equipment for the hospital.
• Deliver general repair, painting, and maintenance of the hospital.
• Maintain inventory of all supplies throughout the facility.
• Provide high-quality customer service by identifying needs and providing timely maintenance.
• Track maintenance requests in the facility management system.
• Carry out routine plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair.
• Prepare facility for special functions including setup.
• Respond timely to alarms and codes according to safety policies.
• On call on a rotating schedule.

Essential Job Duties:

• Repair and maintain the HVAC system and equipment for the hospital
• Deliver general repair, painting, and maintenance of the hospital
• Maintain inventory of all supplies throughout the facility
• Deliver high-quality customer service to the patients, staff, and guests by identifying their needs and providing timely maintenance
• Track maintenance requests in worker order training system (Facility Dude)
• Carry out routine plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair
• Prepare facility for special functions, including setting up tables, chairs, equipment, etc.
• Respond timely to alarms and codes in accordance with safety and security policies and procedures
• On call on a rotating schedule

• Sheet rock finishing and painting experience required
• Industry certifications are a plus
