Job summary

Acadia Healthcare in Columbus, OH seeks a maintenance technician to perform routine and specific maintenance across the facility, including plumbing, carpentry, painting and general equipment repair.

You'll inspect and maintain emergency power equipment, test generators, fire alarm systems, lighting, plumbing fixtures and furniture, and act as back-up for emergency calls. A high school diploma or equivalent and prior maintenance or facilities experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance or facility operations required.
• Knowledge of standard practices, procedures and tools in the general building/maintenance trades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to facility and equipment across trades such as plumbing, carpentry, painting and mechanical work.
• Act as back-up for call person in case of emergency, respond timely and appropriately.
• Handle all equipment in a safe manner and demonstrate good working knowledge of tools and their safe use.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedule and complete reports as requested.
• Inspect and maintain emergency power equipment, test/start generator weekly, and inspect fire alarm systems; record data as required.
• Inspect and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures and related equipment; repair furniture as needed.
