Under the direction of the Facilities Development Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain facilities and their respective assets for all United Heritage Credit Union locations according to safety and operational guidelines in accordance with National, State, Local, and United Heritage standards. This includes, but is not limited to, servicing and/or coordinating service for equipment, responding to facility maintenance requests through an internal ticketing request system and performing scheduled preventative maintenance on assets.
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician with UHCU you will:
- Be responsible for responding to maintenance facility tickets submitted to through the internal ticketing system including updating tickets with comments and progress updates, time to completion, cost, and any other pertinent information as work is performed.
- Oversee the maintenance of equipment utilized in branch operations. Serve as first responder to requests for maintenance, resolve issues when possible and coordinate the scheduling of repairs with the Facilities Development Manager and Branch Operations Department as deemed necessary.
- Respond to requests for building and grounds maintenance, office relocations, and communicating maintenance issues and their resolutions. Resolve maintenance and technical issues when appropriate and coordinate scheduling of repairs with appropriate management authority.
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining branch security equipment to include but not limited to alarm panels and motion & door sensors.
- Responsible for identifying, reporting and resolving safety issues at all UHCU facilities. Comply with safety regulations, wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), maintain clean and orderly work areas, and report and record issues to management and within the Work Order management system.
- Perform minor electrical repairs such as replacing fixtures and switches. Assess electrical issues such as power outages and tripped circuit breakers, and conduct initial diagnostics to determine corrective actions.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance and respond to maintenance requests on machines, equipment and facilities to ensure that systems are functionally operational.
- Responsible for providing a high level of customer service to maintenance requestors. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is expected to maintain professional relationships with vendors, delivering a professional image of the Credit Union and working cooperatively with others within the organization.
- Respond to emergency conditions related to building / branch issues including but not limited to plumbing, building access, water and/or inclement weather damage, and power or equipment outages.
- Assist with UHCU event setup, breakdown, and deliveries. Professionally represent UHCU in our community.
- Travel between multiple locations is required and work after hours may be needed in order to complete routine maintenance and emergency maintenance.
- Support the operations of United Heritage Plaza headquarters. Maintain general knowledge of key operating systems, including but not limited to Security, BMS (building management system), Fire systems, water, electrical, elevators, generator, lighting, and building access.
- Responsible for safely operating and maintaining UHCU company vehicle(s) as defined and directed by the Facilities Development Manager and adhering to the UHCU Vehicle Policy.
- Perform repairs to drywall and painting as required.
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required. Trade school/technical training or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum three years facilities / technical maintenance experience. Experience with banking equipment preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license and excellent driving record that will allow car insurance coverage at a "normal" risk rate for provided company vehicle. Driving record will be researched.

- Ability to remain calm, patient, objective, and professional when presented with complex or uncertain situations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to perform tasks including, but not limited to, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting. Must be familiar with and use hand and power tools common to the skills listed and know safety standards specific to the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Must be able to work evenings and Saturdays as required for on-call support.
