Job summary

National Mortgage Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support building operations, lighting, kitchen equipment, HVAC, plumbing, and fire control systems. This role requires attention to safety, teamwork, and the ability to follow blueprints and manuals.

You will perform preventative maintenance, handle work requests on electrical and mechanical equipment, record readings, and maintain logs in a hotel or commercial setting in Anchorage, Alaska.

Qualifications

• High school or mechanical trade school graduation or equivalent training.
• At least (3) three years of directly related facility maintenance experience in a commercial building setting.
• A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS’ vehicle insurance policy.
• Must pass pre-employment requirements which include but are not limited to: hair follicle drug test, physical assessment and criminal background check.
• Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clients.
• Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.
• Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client.

Responsibilities

• Provides the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
• Performs all assigned preventative maintenance work.
• Performs all assigned work requests on all electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Follows specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings for installation, maintenance and repair of structures and equipment.
• Uses hand and power tools, precision measuring and testing devices to test, diagnose, and repair equipment.
• Maks structure repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings, patch or replace plaster/plaster board, paint walls, ceilings, and trim.
• Maintains a log of all work performed, parts needed, or parts used on all work requests.
• Records utility readings and equipment readings daily and maintain current period readings in maintenance office.
• Clears clogged drains and replace plumbing fixtures.
