The Sea Pines Country Club Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance on buildings, grounds, pools, and equipment to ensure they are safe, functional, reliable, and aesthetically pleasing. This position involves daily tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, event support, and general maintenance.
This work requires regular exertion of up to 100 pounds of force, frequent exertion of up to 50 pounds of force, and occasional exertion to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 pounds. Work regularly requires standing (exerting well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length). Must be able to exert a well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Using hands to finger, handle or feel, frequently walking, speaking or hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling, lifting and repetitive motions and occasionally requires sitting, climbing or balancing and tasting or smelling; work requires close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus, depth perception and peripheral vision; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, using of measuring devices, assembly of fabrication of parts within arms- length, operating machines, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work regularly requires working near moving mechanical parts and exposure to outdoor weather conditions, frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles and occasionally requires working in high, precarious places, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, exposure to the risk of electrical shock and exposure to vibration; work is generally in a loud noise location (e.g. heavy traffic, large earth-moving equipment). May need to use protective equipment such as a respirator, gloves, earplugs, eye guards/visors, steel-toed boots, and a hat.
