Blue Central Group in Missouri seeks a Maintenance Assistant to keep our facility’s physical plant, equipment, and grounds safe, clean, and operational for residents, staff, and visitors. You will report to the Plant Supervisor or Director of Environmental Services.

Key duties include basic repairs, routine maintenance of HVAC/electrical systems, logging work orders, safety rounds, room turnovers for new admissions, grounds upkeep, and on-call coverage for emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in healthcare maintenance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors or outdoors.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable communication (phone/email).

Responsabilités

• Perform basic plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general building repairs.
• Complete routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Log and close daily maintenance requests using tracking systems (e.g., TELS).
• Conduct safety rounds, check emergency lighting and alarms, and support drills.
• Prepare resident rooms for new admissions, including painting and fixture checks.
• Handle basic grounds maintenance, debris cleanup, and snow/ice removal.
• Participate in rotating on-call shifts for facility emergencies.
