Job summary

Jobtailor in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain and repair buildings and systems. You will perform general maintenance, installation, and service across multiple sites, using a variety of hand and power tools.

You will conduct preventive and semiannual roof inspections, share knowledge with teammates, and complete requests promptly. A valid driver's license and DOT certification (sponsorship possible) are required, with safety gear always used.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• DOT certification preferred/sponsorable by employer.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to use protective equipment when required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and build new buildings
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites
• Use a variety of hand and power tools
• Share knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner
• Track the company truck and gas card
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University
