Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a General Building Maintenance Technician with plumbing experience to support the maintenance, repair, and operation of commercial facilities in St. Louis, MO.

The role involves plumbing repairs, preventative maintenance, and general facility upkeep, with the ability to work independently in a safe environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined and will read blueprints, interpret technical documents, and communicate effectively with coworkers and occupants.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or commercial property maintenance.
• Plumbing experience including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and facility operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems including pipes, valves, fixtures, drains, and water distribution systems.
• Complete routine inspections of building systems to identify maintenance needs and prevent equipment failures.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations in a timely manner.
• Assist with minor electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and mechanical repairs as needed.
• Maintain and repair restrooms, break rooms, common areas, and facility infrastructure.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, and work orders.
