Job summary

Heart of Texas Goodwill Industries is seeking a Facilities Maintenance professional to perform general maintenance across multiple facilities in Waco, TX. The role covers carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and routine preventive maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations.

You will inspect and repair equipment, order replacement parts, and maintain records of maintenance activities. A valid driver’s license and ability to work independently with minimal supervision are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of all Goodwill facilities, including light bulbs, paint, plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, roofing, windows, doors, floors, drywall, and brick/masonry work.
• Inspect, diagnose, repair, or replace defective equipment parts; dismantle and reassemble equipment as needed.
• Order parts, supplies, and equipment using PO numbers; move items to proper storage areas.
• Estimate, record, and track type and cost of maintenance and repair work.
• Enforce safety regulations; follow lockout/tagout procedures each time, every time.
