Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) in Kansas City, MO is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker to support building and grounds upkeep across its facilities. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with 40 hours per week and travel between nearby properties as needed.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, basic plumbing and electrical tasks, and coordination with contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum one year of building or facilities maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and facility repairs.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks for safe operations.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and HVAC tasks.
• Respond to maintenance work orders and repair requests.
• Move furniture and assist with room setups and events.
• Escort and assist contractors and service providers.
