Coreworks in Lutherville Timonium, MD, is hiring a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance duties across electrical and mechanical systems, lead teams, and manage escalations.

The position requires 4 years of skilled trade schooling, 5 years in institutional maintenance, and a Journeyman license. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:00 pm with some overtime; benefits include medical, dental, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repairs and report major problems to supervisor.
• Construct, install, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
• Inspect HVAC, electrical and building systems and related equipment.
• Supervise a group of workers on a project.
• Read and transmit complex instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teach advanced maintenance skills to department staff.
• Review work of outside vendors and create punch lists.
• Analyze and correct building system problems.
• Maintain logs, perform rounds, and complete work orders.
• Recommend modifications to preventive maintenance systems.
• Serve on facility emergency response team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
