Job summary

The City of Dania Beach seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician III to join our Public Services Team. You will perform journeyman-level trades across buildings and equipment to keep municipal facilities in good working order.

Tasks include carpentry, painting, masonry, roofing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fabrication; maintain records, and respond to emergencies. A High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years of vocational training or work experience in construction or trades.
• Valid Driver’s license with good driving record; Florida license within 30 days if out-of-state.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for building issues (climate control, odors, spills, emergencies).
• Perform journeyman level work in carpentry, painting, masonry, roofing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing.
• Maintain building/facilities security and maintenance tasks (doors, locks, windows).
• Install and replace electrical switches/outlets, plumbing fixtures, and ceiling/roof tiles.
• Apply trades skills to new construction projects (tile, drywall, painting).
• Maintain records: work orders, time sheets, materials/receipts.
