Job summary

KinderCare Education is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our center environments safe, functional, and welcoming for children and families. You’ll perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, inspect playgrounds, collaborate with staff and vendors, and manage work orders in CMMS.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, playgrounds, roofing, etc. in a multi-site environment.
• Basic understanding of machinery preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals, construction drawings, plans, and specs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform regular preventive maintenance at centers (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, lighting, carpentry).
• Conduct safety and security inspections of playgrounds and property.
• Assist with renovations and new construction inspections and identify capital replacement needs.
• Engage with center staff to promote best maintenance practices.
• Coordinate with local vendors for complex repairs and monitor vendor performance.
• Order materials, update work orders, and provide status updates using CMMS.
