Job summary

The City of Bozeman is seeking a Facilities Worker to support maintenance, repairs, and construction-related tasks across City buildings. You will perform daily operations, preventive maintenance, and respond to service requests to keep facilities safe and welcoming for the community.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience, enjoy problem-solving, and work well in a team while upholding high safety standards.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
1–3 years of facility operation/maintenance experience preferred.
Equivalent combination of experience and training acceptable.

Responsibilities

Perform facility maintenance including daily checks and preventive maintenance.
Operate, service, repair, and maintain building equipment (pumps, boilers, mechanical systems, HVAC).
Manage access control, keys, and door hardware.
Troubleshoot electrical and lighting systems and fixtures.
Use building management systems to monitor operations and maintain records in CMMS.
Provide snow removal and basic maintenance tasks as needed.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers; monitor work quality and safety.
