Job summary

Axogen seeks a Facilities & Maintenance Technician I to ensure reliable operation and regulatory compliance of facility systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and building management. The role supports temperature-controlled storage for biologics, works with GMP standards, and reduces operational disruptions.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 0–2 years’ maintenance experience, and 2nd shift availability (3–11:30pm).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to work 2nd shift (3-11:30pm, Monday - Friday).
• 0-2 years of related facilities maintenance experience.
• CMRT certification preferred.
• EPA 608, HVAC, Electrical license qualifications preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and reliability of critical facility systems including HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical infrastructure.
• Execute and manage preventive maintenance programs in compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee facility equipment modifications and layout changes.
• Manage contractors and vendors ensuring GMP, safety, and site hazards compliance.
• Respond to facility emergencies to minimize disruption and protect product integrity.
• Maintain maintenance records and use site systems for tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, regulatory and operations teams.
