Job summary

AKAM is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to ensure property is well-maintained, safe, and visually appealing. You will handle routine maintenance across common areas, coordinate with vendors, and support events and on-site operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with HVAC, carpentry, and general upkeep, plus strong customer service and communication skills. Work hours are Mon-Fri 7:00am–3:00pm with some weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning, sweeping, mopping in a commercial facility.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely. Must provide own tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, able to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must speak and write in English; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on HVAC: clear lines, change filters.
• Maintain ladders, clean fans, gutters, AC vents.
• Inspect property regularly to address issues.
• Maintain/repair equipment in common areas: lobbies, hallways, pools, gym, grounds.
• Respond to work orders and coordinate with vendors/contractors.
• Ensure safety compliance and HOA codes.
• Paint and maintain community areas per direction.
• Provide emergency on-call support on rotation.
