Job summary

AKAM is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician in Delray Beach, FL to ensure property is maintained to high standards of functionality, safety, and appearance. The role requires hands-on work across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs, with a focus on proactive issue identification and responsive service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential maintenance or handyman services.
• Working knowledge of cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and light pressure cleaning.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on HVAC such as clearing lines and changing filters.
• Perform general plumbing tasks such as replacing fixtures and lines.
• Maintain ladders, fans, gutters, and AC vents cleanliness.
• Conduct minor electrical maintenance and replace fixtures.
• Inspect property regularly to identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain equipment in common areas (lobbies, hallways, pools, grounds).
• Respond to work orders and service requests promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Update maintenance logs and inventory records.
• Set up and break down for community events if required.
• Paint and maintain community areas as directed.
