Job summary

Pomeroy Living, a state-of-the-art independent and assisted living community in Michigan, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems, and assist with resident room turnovers to create a welcoming environment.

The role requires experience with building systems and tools, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a strong commitment to safety and service.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of building systems and code requirements.
• Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to providing excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical).
• Repair and maintain building structures, grounds, and resident apartments.
• Assist with resident room turnovers including painting and drywall repairs.
• Move and assist in transporting furniture and equipment.
• Maintain a safe and well-maintained community environment.
