Job summary

Amcor seeks a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support plant reliability, focusing on electrical and mechanical systems, HVAC, and refrigeration. You will read schematics, troubleshoot VFDs, and operate SCADA and SAP maintenance tracking tools.

The role requires equipment certification readiness, ability to work with basic hand/tools, and willingness to be on-call. Strong teamwork and safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Electro mechanical or mechanical certification preferred.
• Must be able to effectively train personnel.
• Must be able to use basic hand and power tools.
• Must be able to use electronic test equipment.
• Must possess an interest in and an aptitude for mechanics, electronics, and electrical.
• Ability to operate and functionally use a computer.
• Must be able to obtain required equipment certification such as PIT, Genie Boom.
• Industrial Certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain air compressors, refrigeration systems, and HVAC components.
• Troubleshoot electrical distribution, VFDs, and controls; read schematics.
• Read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks using hand/power tools and test equipment.
• Maintain safety practices and report hazards; on-call willingness.
• Communicate maintenance information and document in SAP or similar system.
