Job summary

Merlin Entertainments in California's Carlsbad park seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and install vehicles, fleet golf carts, and building systems. You’ll join the facilities team within Technical Services to ensure a safe, fun environment for guests and employees alike.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, quick repairs, and efficient operation, with ASE certification preferred and a valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Experience as a mechanic with golf cart maintenance preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and emergency repairs on vehicles, fleet golf carts, and equipment.
• Identify, report and document maintenance issues and repair needs.
• Operate basic machine tools (drill presses, grinders, saws, etc.).
• Keep tools and work areas clean and in good condition; complete work with quality and minimal downtime.
• Log preventative maintenance activities in INFOR EAM.
• Respond to emergency repair calls across the park; source materials with vendors.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff and other departments; participate in training and development sessions.
