Job summary

FirstService Residential in Miami is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member responsible for ensuring that mechanical systems and building equipment are operational and that common areas are clean, disinfected and visually appealing.

You will perform routine inspections, follow safety procedures, handle light carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing tasks, and complete daily work orders while coordinating with building staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in building maintenance or related work.
• Ability to read and understand basic work orders and safety instructions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors and roofs, checks for problems, and reports to supervisors.
• Ensure safety precautions are followed during all tasks.
• Maintain positive relationships with building staff.
• Paint common areas and perform touch-ups as needed.
• Complete daily work orders and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Perform light carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring repairs as directed.
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
