Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Columbus, IN seeks a Facility Maintenance Technical Support Specialist to join our engineering team.

You will support technicians, perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, and building systems, and assist in installing and maintaining machine tools and test equipment. You will follow safety procedures, document findings, and contribute to continuous reliability improvements while collaborating with engineers, suppliers, and customers to keep operations

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
At least 1 year of relevant experience in maintenance or similar role.
Experience with preventive maintenance on mechanical and building systems.
Ability to follow safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices.

Responsibilities

Safely perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment supporting test cell operations, including ventilation, cooling, fuel and utility systems.
Assist Technicians with installation and maintenance of machine tools, test stands and related hydraulic equipment.
Repair and maintain piping, fixtures and related hardware, and document as-found and as-left conditions.
Prepare and present data and observations to engineers; support improvement projects.
