Job summary

Plastipak Packaging seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and troubleshoot our state-of-the-art, food-grade facility and its auxiliary systems.

You will perform preventative maintenance on critical equipment, monitor safety and access systems, and support installations or modifications as needed. A strong focus on hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical troubleshooting is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Associate’s degree &/or technical certifications are preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical troubleshooting experience, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Working knowledge of auxiliary industrial support equipment (e.g., chillers, compressors, water towers, air dryers, pumps).
• Ability to interpret technical documents, manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• PLC knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs on facility equipment such as chillers, compressors, pumps and water systems.
• Monitor fire systems, facilities access systems, and emergency lighting (monitoring, inspections, testing).
• Perform general grounds maintenance.
• Participate in installation projects or modifications.
