Job summary

The Meadows on University in Fargo, ND is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the facility clean, safe and well-maintained for residents. You will report to the Maintenance Director, perform minor repairs, operate in the facility's life-safety systems, and support staff to deliver quality care and a positive community image.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of maintenance experience, completion of required training, and the ability to pass background checks and health screenings.

Qualifications

• Must have completed training and competency evaluation program.
• Orientation completion required by company policy.
• Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
• Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
• Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
• Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
• Minimum 1 year maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Report to Maintenance Director/Supervisor.
• Make minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers, changes filters on HVAC equipment, lifts and stocks supplies.
• Take care of the tools and equipment.
• Operate in the TELS platform system for all Life Safety, regulatory and daily tasks.

Education
