Job summary

Walnut Grove Care and Rehab is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep of our center and ensure reliable operation of building systems. You will report to the Administrator and lead a maintenance team to keep facilities safe and compliant with standards.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage budgets, coordinate repairs, and schedule preventive maintenance. This role offers full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Experience in institutional maintenance preferred.
• Must be able to operate a vehicle.
• Moderate computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English Language.
• Strong organization and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Administrator on the physical and structural conditions of the center and the status of work in progress.
• Supervise maintenance staff including interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating work performance, promotion, counseling, discipline, and termination.
• Develop, evaluate, and implement: departmental policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and standards of work for the maintenance and repair of medical equipment, buildings and building systems.
• Coordinate the repair of equipment or recommend the replacement of or additions to equipment or center as necessary.
• Work closely with other departments and administration. Negotiate priorities, plan work schedules, make job assignments, order needed materials, supplies and parts.
• Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work, alterations, remodeling, minor construction and the checkout, installation and servicing of mechanical and electrical equipment and building systems.
