Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie in Tyler, TX is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our facilities team. You will oversee maintenance operations to keep the building safe, compliant, and functional, including HVAC, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, and generators.

This role demands strong leadership, hands-on technical knowledge, and the ability to manage schedules, contractors, and budgets in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a maintenance team in a healthcare or long-term care facility.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, boilers, water systems, and emergency systems.
• Ability to implement a preventive maintenance program.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in budgeting and managing supplies.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations: hire, train, and supervise maintenance team members.
• Promote safety and compliance: conduct fire system inspections and coordinate monthly drills.
• Oversee preventive maintenance: develop and implement a preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain equipment: inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, and generators.
• Manage supplies & budget: order maintenance supplies and equipment within budget.
• Supervise contractors: oversee external contractors.
• Maintain standards: ensure the facility and its equipment are safe, operational, and compliant with regulations.
• Train staff: provide job-specific training and promote safety procedures.
• Coordinate schedules: plan department staffing according to census needs and labor budgets.
