Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires at least 5 years of progressive, responsible experience in skilled trades
• Leadership experience preferred
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of building, grounds and facilities maintenance and repair practices
• Computer literate with solid MS Office understanding
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Valid driver’s license required
• Understanding of work order systems to support CMMS implementation
• Experience with CMMS and building management systems is a plus
• Refrigeration certificate a plus

Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates in building and facilities maintenance and repair
• Ensures safety standards and precautions are followed
• Inspects completed work for accuracy
• Ensures equipment is in proper working order
• Supervises maintenance of equipment
• Operates tools and equipment safely
• Trains and counsels subordinate employees
• Prepares cost estimates for proposed projects
• Maintains weekly and monthly reports
• Keeps records and prepares reports
• Prepares time records for payroll purposes
