Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking a facilities supervisor in Reno, NV to lead a small team at the Customer Fulfillment Center. You will oversee building systems, equipment, and safety programs to ensure uptime and OSHA compliance.

The role includes coordinating maintenance, managing parts, and collaborating across departments. You will develop preventive maintenance, mentor custodial staff, and participate in capital budgeting for facility assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of related facilities or maintenance experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication; coaching and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct, schedule, and coordinate repair and maintenance for the facility, equipment, and systems to maintain optimal service levels.
• Stand up new preventive maintenance programs and continuously improve PM routines.
• Lead and develop custodial associates; ensure cleanliness and safety standards.
• Administer parts inventory for facility equipment and manage vendors.
• Share best practices with other MSC Customer Fulfillment Centers.
• Champion safe work practices and OSHA compliance; ensure reliable climate control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen department relationships.
• Maintain an up-to-date HAZMAT log and ensure proper handling.
• Own emergency preparedness by validating evacuation routes and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce risk and improve uptime.
• Model MSC culture; recruit, coach, and develop team members.
• Contribute to operating budgets for facility assets and participate in DC initiatives.
• Perform pest mitigation and hands-on electrical/mechanical repairs as needed.
