Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all maintenance in the distribution center, including preventive programs, repairs to building and equipment, and vendor coordination.

The role requires 8–10 years of maintenance experience in a large DC or manufacturing environment, plus 2+ years of supervisory responsibility, and strong proficiency in mechanical/electrical maintenance with CMMS expertise. OSHA knowledge and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years maintenance experience in large distribution center or manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a large distribution center or manufacturing environment.
• Technically proficient in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Ability to review and critique schematic diagrams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of CMMS.
• 5-S practices preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• OSHA standards and regulations knowledge.
• Awareness of state/local regulations and code requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of operating equipment and facility systems; enforce preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure timely response to critical equipment downtime in the distribution center.
• Train and develop maintenance personnel; ensure skill sets meet job requirements.
• Utilize CMMS to manage maintenance activities and inventory.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for construction projects and verify quality and safety compliance.
• Maintain back stock of spare parts and minimize inventory through partnerships.
• Ensure contractual compliance for landscape, pest control, snow removal, waste management, and fire system maintenance.
• Collaborate with safety committees on property safety issues.
