Job summary

TekniPlex, Van Wert is seeking a facilities manager to oversee building maintenance, safety, and operational aspects at our manufacturing site. You will act as liaison between staff, vendors, and management to ensure a secure, well-functioning environment.

The role requires 2–4 years of facilities management experience in manufacturing, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining detailed records and cost-aware practices.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of facilities management in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with planning, organizing resources, and executing tasks within set timelines.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities to prioritize tasks and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain schedules for routine maintenance, conduct inspections to identify issues, and oversee repairs and renovations to ensure that building systems and equipment are functioning.
• Work with and manage external vendors and contractors for repairs, maintenance, cleaning, and other facility-related services, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of tasks.
• Monitor maintenance budget spending, assist with budget planning, and manage the inventory of necessary supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conduct routine safety inspections, and coordinate security protocols.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, expenditures, and asset information.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency maintenance requests to minimize disruption and ensure employee safety.
• Up to 8 direct reports
