Job summary

The City of Greenacres is seeking a Building Maintenance Supervisor to plan, coordinate and supervise repair and maintenance programs for public facilities.

Responsibilities include developing work plans, allocating labor, ensuring safety, managing budget and procurement, and coordinating with other departments. Requires high school diploma, Florida driver’s license, and supervisory experience; willingness to work after-hours and during emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in building maintenance/public works.
• Two years supervisory experience.
• Must obtain FEMA ICS 100/200 and IS 700/800 within one year.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and supervises repair and maintenance programs for public facilities (buildings, pavilions, bus shelters).
• Develops and monitors daily, weekly, monthly, and annual work plans for the division.
• Identifies labor needs and allocates resources for maintenance and reconstruction tasks.
• Ensures compliance with safety practices and conducts on-site safety inspections.
• Assists in budget preparation and monitors expenditures; coordinates with directors.
