Job summary

Southwestern Oregon Community College seeks a Facilities Services II to perform general maintenance, groundswork, and motor pool duties on College-owned property. Under supervision, you will handle preventative and reactive tasks, assist with locksmith duties, and contribute to a safe campus environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three years in large facility maintenance, with attention to safety and ability to work independently when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent.
• Three (3) years of experience in building or large facility maintenance, grounds, or related environment.
• Ability to read English sufficient to read manuals and safety instructions.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work with chemicals and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders and perform maintenance across buildings, grounds, and motor pool.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on building systems and equipment; troubleshoot and coordinate with external vendors when needed.
• Carry out locksmith tasks as a backup to primary locksmith duties and maintain door hardware and hardware access.
• Perform painting, staining, and drywall repairs; install and maintain signage and protect public safety.
