Job summary

Northwest Human Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II at the West Salem Clinic in Salem, Oregon.

This role maintains safe, functional spaces for staff and clients, performing hands-on upkeep of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and building systems to prevent issues before they disrupt service. The successful candidate has at least 3 years of facilities or related experience, can work independently, and holds a valid Oregon driver’s license.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of facilities, maintenance, trade, or related construction experience.
• Hands-on maintenance and remodeling experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair building systems.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work.
• Knowledge and safe operation of power tools.
• Valid Oregon Driver's License, automobile insurance, good driving record

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing why an HVAC system isn't functioning properly.
• Repairing a plumbing issue before it causes additional damage.
• Troubleshooting an electrical or mechanical problem.
• Completing preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Inspecting facilities and identifying safety or maintenance concerns.
• Repairing doors, flooring, fixtures, lighting, furnishings, and equipment.
• Supporting remodeling, construction, or space-reconfiguration projects.
• Responding to urgent maintenance or building-security issues.
• Documenting inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
