Job summary

Greenleaf Therapeutics is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist I to support daily maintenance tasks in our Ohio facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, log calibrations, and assist with installations of new equipment and storage solutions, while coordinating with Sanitation to keep areas clean and stocked.

You will follow SOPs, maintain records, and escalate issues to the Facilities Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Willingness to take on added projects and grow.
• Industrial mechanic experience: 1+ year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle minor building and equipment repairs independently; assist with major repairs under the manager's direction, including coordinating licensed contractors as needed (both scheduled and emergency work).
• Operate vehicles, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently; steward parts and supplies responsibly.
• Install and maintain new equipment (e.g., assemble racks, install dehumidifiers) at the manager’s direction.
• Execute preventive maintenance according to the established schedule and complete routine services on time.
• Partner with Sanitation to perform daily cleaning of bathrooms, hallways, break areas, and other interior/exterior spaces; restock PPE, trash liners, and restroom supplies throughout the facility.
• Maintain precise records for repairs, equipment cleaning, maintenance, and calibration; complete all assigned facility-system logs.
• Escalate any system failures, malfunctions, or facility damage promptly to the manager.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly equipment checklists and maintenance procedures with the manager.
• Support secondary Facilities tasks as directed; follow all safety and biosafety protocols; comply with all rules and regulations; keep production areas clean and safe.
• Pitch in across departments as needed; other duties as assigned.

Shape smooth operations at Greenleaf Therapeutics Imagine starting your day with a quick walkthrough of the facility—checking HVAC setpoints, scanning equipment dashboards, and making note of any alerts. You jump into a planned preventive maintenance task, swap a filter, log a calibration, then team up with Sanitation to ensure restrooms and break areas are spotless and stocked with PPE. Midday, you assemble new storage racks, help install a dehumidifier, and record it all. Before you wrap, you update maintenance logs, complete your checklist, restock essentials, and brief the Facility Manager on any anomalies. That’s a typical day for our Facilities Maintenance Specialist I.

What you’ll do

Minimum qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Demonstrated progression of responsibility with a willingness to take on added projects (required).
• Industrial Mechanic experience: 1+ year (preferred).

Knowledge and skills

• Basic math for inventory, projections, and measurements.
• Hands-on exposure to building maintenance and/or construction.
• Strong time management; able to plan and prioritize.
• Absolute reliability, honesty, and confidentiality; steady under stress.
• Computer literacy; mechanical aptitude.
• Team-oriented with clear, calm communication.
• Must be 21 years of age or older; High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of packaging or related experience preferred.
• Work independently and with a team to complete assignments within provided instructions, routines, and accepted standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Comfort with inventory systems and office equipment.
• Familiarity with plant tracking software, including PATC-approved and state-mandated tools (preferred).

Schedule

Sun–Thurs, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; flexibility for mandatory overtime to meet business needs, plus a rotating on-call schedule.
