Job summary

Greenleaf Therapeutics, part of Canopy USA, LLC, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist I in a fast-paced cannabis facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and equipment installation while collaborating with Sanitation and other teams.

Strong focus on accuracy, safety, and documentation is required. The role emphasizes hands-on mechanical work, adherence to SOPs, and the ability to work with contractors when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Industrial Mechanic experience 1+ year preferred.
• Basic math for inventory, projections, and measurements.
• Computer literacy and mechanical aptitude required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Familiarity with plant tracking software including PATC-approved tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle minor building and equipment repairs independently; assist with major repairs under supervision.
• Operate vehicles, tools, and equipment safely; manage parts and supplies.
• Install and maintain new equipment (e.g., racks, dehumidifiers) under direction.
• Execute preventive maintenance and complete routine services on schedule.
• Collaborate with Sanitation for daily cleaning and restocking PPE.
• Maintain accurate records for repairs, cleaning, maintenance, and calibration.
• Escalate system failures promptly to the manager.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly equipment checklists and logs.
• Support additional Facilities tasks; comply with safety and biosafety protocols.

Shape smooth operations at Greenleaf TherapeuticsImagine starting your day with a quick walkthrough of the facility—checking HVAC setpoints, scanning equipment dashboards, and making note of any alerts. You jump into a planned preventive maintenance task, swap a filter, log a calibration, then team up with Sanitation to ensure restrooms and break areas are spotless and stocked with PPE. Midday, you assemble new storage racks, help install a dehumidifier, and record it all. Before you wrap, you update maintenance logs, complete your checklist, restock essentials, and brief the Facility Manager on any anomalies.
