Job summary

HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MI is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform repairs, installations, and general upkeep in assigned areas. Responsibilities include fixing pipes, fixtures, doors, drywall, and completing grounds maintenance to keep properties ready for occupancy.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and 2–4 years of related experience, plus knowledge of lead abatement and asbestos. A valid Wisconsin driver license is also required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs of an assigned area, including pipes, toilets, light fixtures, circuit breakers, furnaces, appliances, and other materials.
• Repairs windows, doors, drywall, cabinets, walls, building structures, countertops, and other structures.
• Turn around vacant units for occupancy; repair and clean.
• Perform standard grounds maintenance: snow removal, landscaping, mowing.
• Perform standard cleaning and trash removal tasks.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
