Job summary

Forward Energy in Michigan is seeking a General Maintenance technician to support the Thumb Area facilities. You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting tasks while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires inspecting facilities, reading schematics, using CMMS for work orders, and delivering strong tenant/client service. This is a full‑time, on‑site position offering growth within a maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Experience with facilities maintenance practices and procedures.
• Familiarity with CMMS software for managing maintenance activities.
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficient in residential painting techniques for interior and exterior projects.
• Ability to use an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools effectively.
• Strong customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Perform general repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility equipment.
• Execute residential painting tasks to maintain the appearance of buildings.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory management.
• Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or client concerns promptly and professionally.
