Job summary

Ryan Motors in Williston, ND is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to proactively keep the dealership in top condition, tackling electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general upkeep.

This role requires hands-on problem solving, the ability to operate a skid-steer, read manuals, and lift 50 pounds. Competitive hourly pay and excellent benefits accompany a great work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong proven experience in facility maintenance/management.
• Demonstrated ability to operate a skid‑steer.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals and instructions.
• Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Able to lift 50 pounds with assistance and/or proper equipment.
• Age 21+.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Keep the dealership in working condition with Managers.
• Provide lawn maintenance to keep grounds well‑kept and presentable.
• Daily snow removal including sidewalks, driveways and lots.
• Daily lot inspections and removal of trash within grounds and fencing.
• Ensure preventative maintenance on heating/cooling systems, bulbs, fixtures and ballasts.
• Clean and repair fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
• Perform minor painting, electrical, plumbing and related tasks.
• Assemble, repair, maintain, and move furniture and fittings.
• Fix flooring, drywall, plaster, and painting.
• Inspect heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment; report needs to Managers.
• Inspect and maintain waste oil furnaces, parts washers, and air hoses in Service Department when needed.
• Inspect facilities and grounds for safety and security; report hazards.
• Assist with dealership special events as needed.
• Plan and coordinate installations with management (heat, electricity, etc.)

REQUIREMENT FOR POSITION:

• Strong proven experience in facility maintenance/management
• Demonstrated ability to operate a skid‑steer
• Capacity to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals and instructions.
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or heavier with the assistance and/or use of proper equipment
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Work with Managers to keep entire dealership in working condition
• Provide lawn maintenance (mowing, trimming, edging) to ensure our dealership’s grounds are well‑kept and presentable.
• Daily snow removal including sidewalks, driveways and lots
• Daily lot inspections including removing trash that has collected within the grounds and fencing
• Ensure preventative maintenance is done, working through heating/cooling systems, light bulbs, fixtures and ballasts
• Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
• Perform minor and routine painting, electrical, plumbing and other activities requiring hand tools
• Assembles, repairs, maintains, and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings and fixtures.
• Fix flooring, drywall, plaster, and painting
• Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment; replaces filters; identifies and reports more complex maintenance needs to Managers
• Clean and maintain waste oil burning furnaces, parts washers, and air hoses in Service Department when needed.
• Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identify and report hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to Managers
• Assist with dealership special events, as needed
• Plan and coordinate installations with management (heat, electricity, etc.)
