Job summary

Arkansas Early Learning, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Assistant to support maintenance and repairs for our centers and vehicles.

Under the Facilities and Transportation Manager, you will work with a team to keep facilities safe, clean, and compliant across multiple sites. The role emphasizes hands-on construction and basic automotive upkeep, with preferred experience in maintenance and transportation equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Prefer at least one year of experience in maintenance or facility services.
• Prefer at least one year experience in vehicle maintenance, parts/supplies and other transportation related equipment.
• Construction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing and roofing.
• Some related office experience, in record keeping, spreadsheets, tracking and contact with the public preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance and repairs for all Agency buildings, facilities, and agency vehicles.
• Monitor work with other Facilities Assistants and contractors, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Ensure compliance with transportation, maintenance, and facilities regulations.
• Work under the supervision of the Facilities and Transportation Manager.
