Job summary

Walmart is hiring a General Facilities Maintenance Technician in Yuma, AZ to perform routine maintenance and repair of Walmart facilities and equipment in a fast-paced store environment. The role reports to the General Maintenance Manager and requires physical work, varied shifts, and adherence to safety schedules.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, and technical certification or several years of related experience in trades such as

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Vocational or Technical certification and 2 years experience, or 4 years total experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report (MVR).
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within last five years; no more than two moving violations in last three years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment) with hand and power tools.
• Use work order system to receive and document repair work orders and support stores.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls; inspect, operate, or test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues; complete training to operate tools safely.
