Job summary

Veterans Place is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support daily operations across campus, including offices, housing units, and grounds. You will work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure safety, functionality, and a welcoming environment for veterans, staff, volunteers, and visitors.

The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and skilled in general building maintenance with the ability to troubleshoot a variety of issues while delivering excellent customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or vocational training in maintenance preferred.
• Experience with multiple Trades is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to buildings, offices, apartments, and transitional housing units.
• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Repair drywall, doors, locks, windows, flooring, cabinetry, and other building components.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs (faucets, toilets, drains, fixtures).
• Perform minor electrical repairs (outlets, switches, lights).
• Complete basic carpentry and painting projects.
