Tandem Personnel is seeking a practical Facilities Maintenance Person in Woodbridge. The role covers a range of hands-on building repairs and upkeep, with emphasis on carpentry, plumbing, decorating and general maintenance.

You will join a maintenance team to perform planned and reactive tasks, move furniture, and ensure safety and records are kept up to date. The role requires a reliable, hands-on approach and comfort with a rotating shift pattern.

Formación

• Experience in carpentry/joinery, plumbing, decorating or general maintenance.
• Hands-on practical repair experience with building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out general planned and reactive maintenance.
• Minor building repairs including joinery/carpentry and basic plumbing.
• Minor roofing, glazing, flooring and path repairs.
• General re-lamping and basic electrical maintenance.
• Painting and decorating where required.
• Setting up and moving furniture and equipment.
• Carrying out routine checks and reporting defects or health and safety issues.
• Maintaining records of work completed.
• Ensuring buildings and equipment are maintained to a good standard.
• Assisting with general maintenance projects and room reconfigurations.
• Opening and locking buildings as required.

We are seeking a practical and reliable Facilities Maintenance Person for an organisation based in Woodbridge.

You do not need previous facilities management experience for this role. We are particularly interested in people with a good general building maintenance background who are confident carrying out a range of practical repairs and upkeep.

The Role

Working as part of a wider maintenance team, your duties will include:

• Carrying out general planned and reactive maintenance
• Minor building repairs, including joinery/carpentry and basic plumbing
• Minor roofing, glazing, flooring and path repairs
• General re-lamping and basic electrical maintenance
• Painting and decorating where required
• Setting up and moving furniture and equipment
• Carrying out routine checks and reporting any defects or health and safety issues
• Maintaining records of work completed
• Ensuring buildings, equipment and surrounding areas are maintained to a good standard
• Assisting with general maintenance projects and room reconfigurations
• Opening and locking buildings as required

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Practical, hands-on and confident carrying out general building repairs
• Experienced in areas such as carpentry/joinery, plumbing, decorating or general maintenance
• Able to work independently but also as part of a team
• Reliable and organised, with a good eye for detail
• Safety-conscious and able to identify and report defects or hazards
• Comfortable working a rotating shift pattern

The role operates on a rotating shift pattern:

The successful candidate will also participate in the emergency on-call rota every few weeks with additional payment of £150 per week.
