Job summary

The Saucy Shrimp in Georgia is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities running safely and smoothly. You will perform routine upkeep, inspections, and quick repairs across plumbing, electrical, and structural systems.

Responsibilities include addressing maintenance tickets, supporting outside contractors, and ensuring safety compliance. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of experience in general maintenance and is physically capable of lift and operate power tools.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of general maintenance or handyperson experience.
• Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall and mechanical skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Routine upkeep & inspections of equipment and facilities.
• Repairs & maintenance of plumbing, electrical fixtures, walls and finishes.
• Care for equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Ensure safety equipment and exits are compliant.
• Respond to work orders and track tools/inventory.
• Assist outside contractors when major repairs are needed.

We are seeking a reliable, handy, and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities running safely and smoothly. In this role, you will be responsible for general upkeep, routine preventive maintenance, and quick repairs across equipment, plumbing, electrical, and physical structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Routine Upkeep & Inspections: Perform daily/weekly equipment checks, HVAC filter changes, light bulb replacements, and facility walkthroughs.

• Repairs & Maintenance: Fix minor plumbing issues (leaks, clear clogs), basic electrical fixtures (switches, outlets), wall repairs/painting, and minor woodwork.

• Equipment Care: Troubleshoot, clean, and perform routine maintenance on essential commercial machinery and appliances.

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all safety equipment (fire extinguishers, emergency exits, safety lighting) is inspected and compliant with standards.

• Work Orders & Inventory: Respond promptly to daily maintenance tickets/requests and keep track of repair tools, parts, and hardware inventory.

• Vendor & Team Support: Assist outside contractors/specialists when major repairs or specialized servicing are required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1+ years of experience in general maintenance, facility upkeep, or handyperson work (restaurant, commercial, or residential experience is a plus).

• Technical Knowledge: Basic proficiency in plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, drywall, and mechanical systems.

• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with a "fix-it" mindset.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, bend, reach, climb ladders, and operate basic power tools safely.

• Dependability: Punctual, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and with a team.

• Flexibility: Willingness to assist with occasional emergency repairs or off-hour calls if needed.
