Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living in Durham, NC is seeking a Facility Operations Assistant to help maintain a safe, clean environment for residents and staff as part of a large senior living organization.

You will perform routine maintenance on buildings, grounds, and equipment, assist with preventative maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and fire safety procedures, ensuring quick, cost-efficient repairs and a welcoming atmosphere for residents and guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical schooling is a plus.
• Technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance is preferred.
• Experience in maintenance/housekeeping is a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents, guests, and team members.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair across grounds, buildings, equipment and vehicles.
• Repair furnishings, plumbing, electrical, and painting tasks as needed.
• Assist with preventative maintenance program.
• Support heating/AC, water, refrigeration, motors, pumps, electrical systems, and emergency generators.
• Perform carpet and hard surface floor maintenance.
• Deep clean and prepare resident suites.
• Assist with fire safety and evacuation procedures.
