Performance Food Group is seeking a Building Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair warehouse equipment and facilities at our Springfield, MA location. The role emphasizes safety, routine inspections, and timely repairs to keep operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 6+ months of maintenance experience, proficiency with computers, and a valid driver's license. Training on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting may be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 6+ months maintenance and repair experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Valid driver's license per company MVR standards.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily production paperwork and prepare for operations. Performs daily safety checks.
• Maintains, repairs, and installs on various equipment within guidelines of processes and standards.
• Maintains, replaces, builds, adjusts, and modifies facilities, buildings, and grounds according to a set schedule and in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Performs housekeeping duties and keeps maintenance area orderly and clean; at shift end secure all equipment and complete reports.
• Performs other related duties as assigned; may assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting tasks, landscaping, and deep cleaning.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine building inspections to identify issues.
• Regularly lift items that are 50-100 lbs.
• Valid driver's license - meet company's MVR standards.
